The Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts has announced the nominees for the 2004 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Keali`i Reichel has a wow-worthy ten nominations, but newcomer Kainani Kahaunaele made quite a splash as well with seven.
I love that Danny Couch and C&K are on this year's list, and as someone at HawaiiStories.com pointed out, there's even some jazz: Azure McCall.
Sadly, it's been literally years since I've bought a CD from a brick-and-morter retail store, and I don't think I've heard any of these albums save for the tracks that make it on the air. Any favorites you'd recommend?
