Aloha everyone,
I'm new to HawaiiTreads, but I've posted before. Anyway, I have a question that may be kinda odd...but here it goes.
I am looking into attending a bartending school here in Hawaii. I've done some research, but haven't uncovered much. Can anyone suggest any "good" bartending schools to look into? The most advertised school is ABC Worldwide and I've heard that Blutropix nightclub also holds a course. Anyone know if these 2 are any good? Anyone know any others? Like I said, this question kinda fits this catergory...but it kinda doesn't. So if anyone has any suggestions or tips...I'm all ears!
Thanks in advance!
Aloha,

My guess is, it would be best to start as a "barback" rather than going into some "school". I'd recommend Duke's in Waikiki or Gordon Biersch at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Some of the barbacks in those two places have contributed more to customer loyalty than the bartenders ... and work their way up to that status.
