    Speaking of guitar -
I heard a new singer from Hawaii on
    http://www.sellaband.com/cubworld

He is doing quite well and I think if we get behind him, he may make it to the recording studio. He has some great stuff. Listen to it and see what you think. He could represent Hawaii well. Seems he is doing great internationally.

Nothing about his music is specifically "Hawai`i," but he's got a comfortable voice, and the songs certainly have some potential (I like the production on them, and that's where my ears are usually drawn - moreso than the lyrics or musical composition) - I hope he keeps going in this tough business. Fortunately, in today's world, having a recording contract is no longer necessary for getting your art exposed worldwide.

        Local Boy #1 on Sellaband.com

Just wanted to let you know about a local boy, Jacob Kongaika, who is currently No. 1 on
        http://www.sellaband.com/
He goes by the name of Cubworld and has raised over $16,000 in two months from believers who like his music. Check it out. He attended Kahuku High School and BYU Hawaii. His believers are from all over the world, but it would be great to see some more of his believers come from Hawaii. He writes most of his own music - he has a video singing Hula Girl at YouTube.com
