For some of us, we treat our cars like its family, and sometimes even name our cars.

So, do you "treat"/"call" your car as a male or female? And if you named it, what is its name?

I refer to my car as a female, and just named her "maddie" (aka Maddie Mazda or Maddie Mazda3).

(yeah, its weird, but I like it)

My truck's female. It's an '86 Chevy El Camino (nice round hips, perfect width from behind, CURVY!). Plus, I named her Ligaya.

My blue 1997 Honda Civic LX is definitely female.

Her name is Annabel.

My stepfather's 2006 tan Chevy Silverado that I share with him is male.

His name is Sir Duke.

:D My green minivan is a female.
My green B***H I call her. I frequently say C'mon B***H get a move on!

My black pathfinder used to be a boy..My little STOMPR.
He had custom plates...oh the days of being young and having no children and all the money and time to spend on a truck!

here's how it goes for me:
My car is a hermaphrodite.
My microwave oven is a dog. Border collie to be exact.
My dishwasher was negroid, but now is American Indian.
(I supect it will be caucasion in a month or so for some reason).
My hedge clippers have told me they are Republican, which i believe.
my bicycle is an adherent to the Che Guevara philosophy but on weekends leans toward Buddhistic tendencies.

Things can take their revenge. treat them with respect
or sumpin li'dat.

No no, it is a term of endearment! LOL

I consider it endearing when people call me B***H (since it seems so often!)so I pass it along!:p

I honestly never thought of it in the mean way I do love my minivan! :D

Even though I consider myself a car guy, I've never felt like naming any car I've ever had. Honestly, I wouldn't know how to choose something appropriate. However, if I had to say what gender they are....

I used to own a Mustang Cobra that I would definitely consider male. Loud, obnoxious, heavy, powerful and a voracious consumer of fuel.

Both my current cars are similar on paper. They're both rare mid-engined 2-seat sports cars, and while I'd consider them both female, their personalities are completely different.

The Italian one is fast, sexy, curvy, petit, expensive, high-maintenance and prone to frequent unexpected breakdowns. It's high-strung fun, but too much for every day.

The Japanese one is fast, sexy, lean, low-maintenance and very reliable. It's also a lot of fun, but restrained and civil enough to live with every day.

The last car I owned that had a name was a Mazda 626 whose name was the "Blue Marshmallow". I've had 3 cars since then (a Ford Probe, a Pathfinder and now a Murano) and all of their names were/are "transportation".:D

All of my cars have been female and I could swear they had personalities. Latest is "Goldie" an '87 Chevy Nova. She looks young for her age, alittle dingy and cute.

The only male vehicle I owned was a '69 honda 750 (first year they came out with it) though I got it in '78. I named him "Nightmare". He was loud, powerful and tattoo'd. Oh yeah and a Chick magnet. HaHa!

For most people I know, guys tend to have female cars and girls tend to have male cars.

Mine's Shellie. Shellie cause my wife thought outloud one day that Lei was spelled Lie and I have Shell Leis hanging from my rear view mirror... hence "Shellie"

Here's a pic... I was going to put the pic directly in the post but i think it's huge and didn't want to muck up the thread..

Although my BMW was a "Man's" car, my red 635Csi is definately a female car. She's finicky, never gave me any problems but oh when my wife drove it she would balk and complain about that other woman. My Beamer was also a high maintenance chick (as most BMW's are) requiring the best fuel, the best oil and the best wax for her metal skin.

Oh and she hated cheap Sears tires, only high end ZR rated shoes for her. And not just any tire would do. She hated Goodyear FM 901's but craved Bridgestone Potenza RE93's. And no cheap Korean knockoffs would ever grace her rims.

She loves leather so her seats, shifter ball and boot, and steering wheel was wrapped in leather. Her soft and sensuous seats cradled me as she excites my heart with an exhillerating 150-MPH ride and a nice 3800 RPM purrrrrrrr. Not even breaking a sweat she's a pro at seducing my desire for speed as I shift thru her gears

But she comes at a high cost as her initials spell Broke My Wallet, but she's worth it.

Then there's my wife's Astro Van kid hauler. I swear it's homosexual because it's really a minivan on a truck chassis (Chevy S-10). With the V6 vortec engine and truck chassis, it's tough underneath but with cupholders it's definately a woman....or a man dressed up as a woman. Hmmm transexual?
