Today, I think I seen two other cars with the same paint as mine. The first time I saw it was on the way to work on TheBus - a middle-aged female was driving it. The next time I seen it was driving home while at a stop light. I wanted to get behind that car to see how the rear lights up, but the driver speed off.

And I've seen "twins" of my Mom's van and Dad's truck, and of course one of the taurus.

LMAO!

I see about 20 "twins" a day!
So I made sure to cover mine in bumper stickers!
I see probably 20 or more GREEN dodge Caravans every single day...nto to mention the 10 in every parking lot! I can't even find my car!
Now a NICE BIG Hello Kitty sits on the back!
And a HUGE white bumper sticker that says It's only Kinky the First time!!

Yeah...try finding one of my car now! :p

Who's never seen a twin of their car? Assuming your car's appearance is not heavily altered, you'd have to have a really unusual car not to ever spot a twin, I'd imagine.

I don't know, when I had my 1986 GOLD and MAROON striped minivan(until 3 months ago)..I can safely say i only saw 2 others..EVER!
One was in my town and 2 blocks away and the other was 200 miles away LOL

Guess gold and red vans are not the shiznitz! hehehehehehe:D
Or a whip!

Which is exactly why Adrian should sprint in the opposite direction when you approach him with dating advice.

Hope that computer "work" is satisfying enough for you...

I've always had older cars. Not too many twins. As it turns out, I bought a rather rare car. Something like less then 600 made.

sorry about attracting the annoying flies in the thread doc. Now, back on topic.
Yea. i have seen twins of my cars. Jeep cherokee, there are many around town, and being "colorblind", I see many that look like mine. years ago, seen many BMW 320I blue. it was common. Then, a 300D Merc. many in town had mercedes at that time. also when I had a limo company, well, anyone with a limo service hadda have a white Cad and Lincoln. white for weddings, our cash crop ya know... so we saw many twins of what we drove.

OMG!!. I remember seeing the same type of car my hubby drives on the road.

One time, my friend & I came out of a store, & my friend thought that it was my hubby was the one that was driving the car, so I ran & screamed his name to just say hi, while he was stopping for the red light, then come to find out that it was a different driver :o . Since he was driving for the same company, & knew my hubby, & told me that he saw him way back on a different street & location. I just said, "oh, & that I thought he was my hubby driving". :o

It was kind of funny. lol.

The next time I see the same car, I will definately make sure that it's my hubby driving before I say hi, & not someone else :p .

Tell me about it. But I can't even support myself - how can I support someone else?

Hope that computer "work" is satisfying enough for you...
That's why I'm still doing it for low pay. Hopefully I can get a second job soon.

Tell me about it. But I can't even support myself - how can I support someone else?Very chivalrous of you, A, but you don't have to "support" a girlfriend financially - and if that's the way SHE feels about the relationship...keep looking.

But, back ot: let's hope you are never a victim of auto theft, or you will go CRAZY every time you spot your car's twins. What's also amusing is when you see a car you've sold still on the road. For a couple years after selling my '76 Camaro, friends told me they would recognize it on the road, because it still had the window decal I had added: "University of Mars."

I saw twins all the time. First I had a silver Prelude...they made what? 3 colors only? Then I had a all white Chevy Astro Cargo van...couldn't be more vanilla if I tried and the roads are choked with them. Next was my white Blazer. I saw those on a daily basis.

It's all different now...my Pilot is a color (wild cherry metallic) that the dealer admitted that they order very few of. Since I got it in November, I haven't seen a "twin" yet. Now that I got my "Shaka Guy" decal on the back window, it's a lock I won't see a twin.

1) Its not quite neccessary to support someone else in this time and age unless a) you pay by the hour b)you want to be a suger daddy c) you have the need to be the bread winner ingrained into you.
2) A Certified pc tech _can_ be paid well. At where I work non-certifieds get paid $10-$15/hr

well outta the 1064 total 1989 BMW 635Csi coupes built world wide with a 5-speed only 61 of them were imported to the United States making mine one hard twin to find anywhere in the world.

There are probably more than a hundred luxury sedans on Oahu roads identical in make, model, trim package and color to mine; most, in my observation, driven by folks who would qualify for the AARP. The white Apple (computer) logo sticker in back is the single saving grace that sets (me and) my car apart. I should a put a slogan under that... "Drive Different".

My Murano will probably not have very many "twins" as long as I keep my bike rack mounted on the back!:D That's the way I can distinguish between my car and others that are the same color. Also, not many of them seem to have sunroofs.

I not only saw my car's twin in a parking lot, I actually walked up to it, stuck my key in the door, and OPENED IT. Of course I quickly slammed it when I realized it wasn't my car (mine was parked a couple of spaces away), but it was an unsettling experience. What are the odds of THAT happening?

The gray Camry I drive has to be the most common car in Hawaii.

doc, you should try going to a cruise with other Mazda3 owners (I'm sure they have 'em). You'll be seeing sextuplets! :D

I don't think I've ever seen twins of either of my cars except at cruises where like-car owners meet. Aside from these cruises, I probably spot a car that's the same model as mine once every several months -- and to see one that's the same color is even rarer than that. Then I go to a cruise and there's 2 or 3 that look just like mine. It's just neat to see.

The gray Camry I drive has to be the most common car in Hawaii.Maybe. Camrys at least. I have a friend with a white Camry who often travels on the same roads as me at the same time. A long time ago, I gave up trying to spot him in traffic.

When I was in high school (late 1950s :o ) my parents had a Chevy and a Pontiac. I discovered accidentally that the keys to those 2 cars were interchangable!

About 8 months ago I bought a white sedan. Not long after, it was parked in my office parking lot. When I left for the day and started down my stairs I noticed every car in every stall along that section of the lot was a white sedan! I hadn't yet memorized my license plate so I used my security system remote to determine which car was mine! Of course, all the cars weren't the same make and model but in a sea of white sedans they all started to look alike! :D

I see lots of cars on the road the same make, model and color as mine...'cept, mine is pimped!

I was told those odds are 1 in 10,000 according to GM.

I also have a beige 1986 Honda Accord. Apparently there's someone else in Pahoa that has the same year and color car as mine because everytime I drive thru Pahoa town people give me the Shaka sign as if saying, "Wassup" then they see this clean cut middle aged Japanese male driving it with a baby seat in the back and their eyes look on in astonishment.

Turns out I parked next to my double one day at Malama Market in Pahoa and turned to look at this young man (probably Hawaiian Pocho) with his "chick".
