aloha vehicle registration - anyone used them?

I've heard we can get registration and plates before we ship our cars from the mainland.

I guess you could use them, but I don't see why you would. While you will have to get local registration and plates for your car eventually, there's no rush to have it all set up before you or your car gets here.

I suppose you're paying for convenience, and there's nothing wrong with that. But heck, if you're coming and hoping to see the "real Hawaii," I'd say standing in line and dealing with grumpy people at the DMV is one of those experiences you might as well seize with gusto. :p
