This time it's for Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich chicken breast strips (http://www.thehawaiichannel.com/health/11053290/detail.html)which could be infected with Listeria (a far more serious bug than salmonella). Sheesh. Nowadays almost any processed food could be hazardous to your health!

The nationwide recall affects all 6-ounce packages of Oscar Mayer-Louis Rich chicken breast strips with rib meat, grilled, fully cooked and ready to eat that bear the establishment number P19676 inside the USDA inspection mark.

The use-by date is April 19, 2007.

Listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as serious and sometimes fatal infections to infants, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

For questions about the recall, call 1-800-871-7117.

Every time I see another one of these types of things, it makes me wonder about John Titor all over again ;)

Nowadays almost any processed food could be hazardous to your health!

And that's true even if it doesn't have a bunch of deadly bacteria in it.
