Oceanic DVR Cable Box

Since I sell Televisions I have run across a lot of problems with the Oceanic HDTV DVR Cable Box.

1. Sometimes has brightspots flashing on the screen, usually in the middle.
According to Oceanic this is normal. It may happen on recordings and regular cable.
2. The DVR audio and video playback is out of sync. Just rewind a second and press play.
3. The recorder tells you it cant schedule more than 3 recordings but you have none or one on the list. You will need to unplug the DVR box and reboot it.

Also the DVR box may not be compatible even on composite or Antenna out with some older TV sets.

I have seen that flashing pixel in the middle of the screen. Glad to know it is the signal or the box, not my tv. I appears in different places so I was pretty sure it was not my tv.

My DVR seems to freeze at the most inopportune times--like in the middle of watching or recording favorite shows. Reboots take like 5 minutes! Was thinking of trying to exchange the box, but I am not sure a new box would work any differently.
