Let's say you're driving alone on a deserted road, a tire blows out, and you get into a horrible crash. You're pinned in the wreck -- alive, conscious and in no pain -- but your injuries are fatal and you have 2 or 3 minutes before you black out and die. Your car is a total wreck, but somehow, the stereo is still working and you can choose one song to listen to as the world around you slips into darkness.
What song would you choose?

Morbid brings me out of the woodwork..............
One of these three............totally depends on the moment and where I am at in this abbreviated and accelerated grieving process.
Touched by VAST. So I can recollect what I have lived and who I lived it with.
Ready to Go by Republica. To get my focus off the rearview mirrors and on the road ahead.
Perfect Day by The Sheila Devine. Because in a very short time I will sitting on a DOH A frame with a bucket of Coronas bobbing next to me. Also, I am sporting dreds, always wanted dreds. :)

Sick question, but here goes.
Right at this moment, I'm thinking "The Last Days of Summer" by the Blue Hawaiians. A beautiful, lilting instrumental which just gives me chicken skin, and puts me in a totally relaxed state. Reminds me of Hawaii, the ocean, the shoreline...peace.
I don't think I'd want anything with words, singing something poignant or meaningful to make me think about life, just something to lull me to sleep.

Earth to Mars ~ Hello!!!!
Totally MORBID! :) Yeah, it's morbid, but I think it's an interesting question.
Imagine how dreadful it would be if a Weird Al song came on the radio as you were dying. I find Weird Al entertaining and all, but I certainly wouldn't want one of his songs to be the last thing I ever heard.
Me, I'd probably pick "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. Here it is played on a slightly-out-of-tune grand piano:

Oooh....LavaGal, throw out an obscure one from my absoulte favorite album side of Led Zeppelin. You're my hero for that one :-)
If that was in the CD player in this scenario I'd choose "Ten Years Gone", but they're both equally brilliant.

What an amazing song. Even more amazing is that it became a hit single, being that the lyrics are about a teen suicide pact.

I'm going with "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. And if the DJ doesn't have that, how about "James Dean" by the Eagles?

I've reconsidered. I'm going to go with "Bron-Yr-Aur" by Led Zepplin. My brother used that song to teach me the concept of open tuning on a guitar when I was a kid; it's been my favorite Zep ever since.

Well, if I'm in a nice comfortable place I'd like to "sky up" to the Beatles "A Day In The Life". And with some timing, I could take my final breath as that last big piano chord fades away.
If I'm in a snotty mood and not ready to go...then it's "Auf Wiedersehn" by Cheap Trick
Au revoir, auf wiedersehen
You wont see another morning
You wont see another evening
Good night
Buenos noches o senor
Senorita see ya later
Buenos noches bye-bye
There are many here among us
You feel that life is a joke
And for you we sing this final song
For you there is no hope
Sayonara oh suicide hari kari
Kamikaze you wont
See another evening
Goodbye
Bye-bye so long, farewell
See you later....(etc)

If I had my way, I'd have the soundtrack to Les Miserables in the CD player. There were quite a few death scenes in that musical, but the one I'd like to go out on is the finale (when Jean Valjean is escorted to heaven):
They will live again in freedom
In the garden of the Lord.
They will walk behind the plowshare,
They will put away the sword,
The chain will be broken
And all men will have their reward!
Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Somewhere beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
Do you hear the people sing?
Say, do you hear the distant drums?
It is the future that they bring
When tomorrow comes!
