Well, dunno if today was the last day...but this evening, cars kept passing by to see if the store was still open...but big sign thanking the shoppers for loyal business....dark and locked...thanks to Mel and Mae for the cheap affordable prices....now I gotta hunt the Midweek for cheap affordable laundry soap....I truly hope all the gals and guys good luck. Now...dont go throwing away all your poly bags now....maybe worth something in 10 yrs from now. :(

Every time I see the building...I remember "GEMS Department Store!" I fondly remember the Stuffed BEARS which were on display when I was little. How Giant and Mighty they looked!!!

Everything comes to a end...Gems did. Now Grocery Outlet.:(

Yeah. I too await the new occupants of the building!;)
