In honor of Earth Day (http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Apr/21/br/br3485706912.html)(tomorrow), the Nature Conservancy has introduced an online carbon dioxide calculator (http://www.nature.org/initiatives/climatechange/calculator/)that shows how much carbon dioxide you and your household emit annually. It also gives some tips on reducing your impact on the environment.
In our household, it shows that we emit 33 tons of CO2, which is way less than the average American household of our size, which emits 53 tons of CO2, although we still emit about 3 times more than the rest of the world does. That shows me that we still have a ways to go yet.
