For the second time in less than a month, a Sunshine tour helicopter (http://www.mauinews.com/story.aspx?id=29741)made a hard landing on Maui. The first one occurred on March 28 (I saw the immediate aftermath, as I was sitting in OGG waiting for my flight to depart, and it made a hard landing right on one of the runways) and the latest one occurred yesterday, when a helicopter set down hard on the lawn of Haliimaile General Store owner Bev Gannon's estate.
Dunno what's going on with the helicopters these days...that makes 4 helicopter incidents in the State in a little over 6 weeks...

To me "helicopter incident" was/is: every time period of resident neighbors' and familys', and my own, that was/is disturbed by a half dozen or less people "enjoying" a thrill-ride in a 1000-riding-lawnmower-sounding-machine through our otherwise usually tolerably undisturbed mountain, valley, beach and ocean atmosphere.

I, and most others, do not pray that they literally 'crash and burn' so to speak but we certainly wish anything and everything short of that which would eliminate such annoying (not to mention costly and dangerous) touri$t machinery polluting the serenity of our skies and dwellings.
