A Chevy Astro van caught on fire at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor area about at noon today.

I was eating lunch, when I heard a commotion coming from the parking lot. I looked towards the parking lot, and saw thick black smoke. I thought someone was cooking BBQ, but then I realized it was coming from a van. Since my car was parked a few feet away from it, I moved my car to a safe place and proceeded to take pics.

(and if you're keeping track, this is the second "news worthy" event I took a picture/video of)

(and do you think I should submit the video to a news organization?)

Glad that you are okay and your car is safe.... how long did the car fire burn?

how long did the car fire burn?
A few minutes.

Two police cars (their personal cars with the blue lights) were there but went dig out when I moved my car after I spotted the fire. Afterwards, HFD came and put it out.

I have a few videos of the event, but my broadband is acting like dial up ATM.

..........but my broadband is acting like dial up ATM.Dude, that statement totally threw me off. It's been a few years since I was in the telecom business, but I'd never heard of dial up ATM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asynchronous_Transfer_Mode).

Maybe it's a loose description of when the ATM establishes the virtual circuit? :D

Maybe it's a loose description of when the ATM establishes the virtual circuit? :DATM encapsulated inside dialup PPP? :D Interesting.

ATM = At The MomentYeah, I eventually figured it out. I was in the telecom business for a long time. Old habits are hard to break.

Hey, I heard you can find out how to withdraw money from your PC in this thread. Do you put your bank card inside the flippy disk drive somehow? Do you need a printer to print out the money? :P
Technology these days!
