I need to take all my INternet Explorer favorites from my home PC and send them to my new Vista Laptop before I leave on my trip. Because I can't remember all the URL's on my PC....
Any suggestions? Can I email them to myself in hotmail? Or transfer them? Do I need a Cord or USB transfer cord or anything?
Seems easy but I can't figure it out.
Thought ,aybe some of you puter stars may be able to help me.:D

In XP's Internet Explorer:
1) go to file > import and export, then click next
2) choose export favorites, then click next
3) select favorites (the top folder) then click next
4) either remember the folder path or make a new one (if you go for the prior, then I'd suggest copying it), then click next
5) Your finished! Click on finish, and either navigate to the folder you saved it to, or open My Computer and paste the folder path, and you should see an html file with your bookmarks.

As for putting them into Vista's IE7, I have no idea.

Oh you are a life saver! Thanks! Now I can email them to myself.

Vista itself has a feature to import data from an old PC.

Click the windows/start button(on the Vista OS comp)and there should be an "easy transfer" function. It will walk you through the process of transferring the things you need.
