Like Spongebob Squarepants, I've lost my identity (nametag) while working tonight. Unlike him, it wasn't behind me (but a coworker always chuckled when I'm near her) and I've searched the parking lot and I didn't find it.
But enough details. What have you lost (and hopefully found)?

Yesterday, someone found my nametag, so that's a relief. But tonight, I spent an hour finding my watch. The place I found it? in my car. It must have slipped out of a shirt pocket or something and been there while I was searching.
I bet on Friday I'll loose my wallet or cell phone. *knocks on wood*

In January, I lost my wallet at the Aloha Stadium Swap meet. 3 years ago, I lost $130+ in downtown HNL when it and my money clip fell out of my pocket getting out of the car. I seem to have a knack for losing important things in HI.
But the most important thing I've lost was my built up stress from work everytime I visit HI:D

I lose stuff I put in a safe place "just in case," such as important documents, gifts to squirrel away for birthdays. It's frustrating. My office is probably the place where everything is. It's like a mynah's nest full of trinkets that I need to uncover. I need a day to find all the things lost in my office.

A few years ago I lost the keys to my friend's car on the slopes of Big Bear, CA. Miraculously, someone found it and turned it in to lost and found. The spare key was 2.5 hours away too.

In a trivia game on a radio station recently, according to a study, "the most lost thing in the nation" wasn't keys, pen, jewelry, cellphone, wallet, contact lenses, cash or anything tangible.
It was folks' LOGIN PASSWORD.

At first I kept thinking I keep losing the CHAPSTICK I keep at my desk.
Now, I have reason to believe that someone in my office is playing tricks on me and stealing it on purpose. It's happend five times already.

I lost 40 pounds since January! from 193 to my high school weight 153.
Will probably put back 10 in 13 days...
Also loss a lot of things during the week, my car keys twice, and ATM card. My wife found all of them for me and she yelled at me to start eating more carbohydrate as my brian is so depleted and I either forget or misplace things.

<sigh!>
Today I made a Costco run. I managed to lose my membership card AND a $50. gift card in the store. Totally my fault. I put both down while filling out a form then walked away to finish my shopping. Didn't notice the "oops" 'til I got to the checkout stand. Neither had been turned in at that point.

Yeah I think that just scared me out of getting take out for the rest of the week.
What I have lost: My soda and the rest of my lunch from the work's refrigerator.
What I have found: Women's underwear in my laundry.
What I have gained: An extreme fear to Karma. :(

early last year, i lost the knuckle to knuckle sapphire and diamond ring that the beau gave me late 2004. i fell asleep on the couch, and i know i had it on my finger, but i woke up in the middle of the night and trudged meself to bed. when i was cooking lunch the next day, i realized i had lost it. i spent several hours frantically looking for it, all the while crying. i cried so much about it! i cried when i told him i lost it, i cried every time over the next several weeks i tried to look for it, i cried at work when i would type on my keyboard and feel its absence, i cried every once a month i'd try to find it, and even now, i am teary-eyed thinking about how desperately sad i felt about it. you would think my pet had died, i cried so much! it's not a wedding or engagement ring, but honestly, no engagement or wedding ring could mean as much to me as that ring does bcs he gave it to me as symbol of his love shortly after we became exclusive.
that was in february 2006. fast forward to christmas day last winter. we're in his truck, heading to his mom's for christmas. eric had been sicker than a dog the entire week, and i knew that he did absolutely no christmas shopping bcs i did it for him. i told him that it was okay that i didn't have a gift from him in time for christmas--it really didn't much matter bcs like i said, he was sick, and he is an awesome beau, and that's all that matters.
to which he said, "are you sure? cause i do have something for you, but if you don't want it..."
of course i wanted it! he made me close my eyes and put out my hand. as soon as he put his gift in my hand, and before i even opened my eyes, i started to bawl hysterically.
it was the lost ring. he found it just ten minutes before, underneath the recliner which is next to the sofa i fell asleep in months ago, when he dropped his belt on the ground and bent down to pick it up. i swear i looked under that recliner at least ten times, but i guess god saw fit to give it back to me on christmas day.
best christmas gift ever, even if it was a "regiving" of a previous gift.

My innocence - but not my idealism.
I like this answer! Really cool.
The flow in is keeping up with the flow out so although I've lost many things, what I've gained has me feeling contented.

Thanx! How are you doing?Busy - good busy though. In the middle of Folklife weekend here in Seattle; I've been emceeing and performing with Hawaiian music shows all weekend long.
In keeping with the theme of the thread, I could say that at the end of each day, I've lost the feelings in my feet and legs!
