I have a few old puka shell necklaces... I mean old, from the late 60s! They're rather dull. How do I restore it to bring back its luster? Thanks!

In Longs Drugs Store they have a Jewel Cleaner for Pearls...you can try that. Also, try good old Clorax. But no leave too long cause the Puka Shells going degenerate.;)

Clorox? Won't that dull the surface? I'll try the pearl cleaner, tho. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks again! I googled it earlier, but couldn't find anything on it.

You could try toothpaste and a soft toothbrush. It seems to work on most jewelry.
ETA: GEL toothpaste.
