Barker has endorsed his good friend Rosie, but says CBS may not want a woman to host the show. Possible replacements include George Hamilton, Todd Newton of the E! network, Mark Steines of "Entertainment Tonight," and John O'Hurley.

I think John O'Hurley would be good. Quick-witted, personable. Nice hair.

Everytime they need the "Big Wheel", Chuck Norris would set it into motion with a mighty roundhouse kick :p

I'd choose O'Hurley only if he does at as his J. Peterman character from Seinfeld. :D

No way. Choose any women BUT Rosie.

Is Chuck Woolery still around?
If O'Hurley takes the job, will they cancel the Family Feud?
They're not going to force the new host to say "Have your pet spayed or neutered" at the end of every show, are they?

I'd love to see George Hamilton as the new host.

Family Feud hasn't been as good since O'Hurley took that show over. Richard Karn remains the best host that show has had (yes, I mean it). If O'Hurley gets the PRICE gig, I'd love it if Karn could get back on FEUD. If not, let Karn get a shot at Bob Barker's spot. I think he'd be great, and he's got a lovableness that O'Hurley lacks.

Yup, Chuck Norris. I thought that he would be more exciting than "Other".
How about LeChuck? Speaking of him, I wonder if LucasArts will ever make another Monkey Island game.

Carey announced on Letterman Monday evening that it's a done deal. He's the new host of The Price is Right. He said it was finalized just fifteen minutes before the interview, while Carey was waiting in the Late Show's green room.
I think he'll do a good job.

I love the choice of Drew Carey, it will be new and different.:D

I wonder what it means for that new game show "The Power of 10" since Drew is gonna be on TPIR.

I think my Dad (and all the little old blue haired ladies in America) will be bummed out by the selection. TPIR is one of my Dad's favorite shows (along with Family Feud) to watch while he eats lunch. I'll have to write and ask him how he likes the show now that Bob's gone.

It will run until summer's end. Bob told Drew not to report to work, he still want to milk more royalties from the TPIR reruns.
Does that mean Drew have to be a vegetarian. Is Bob Barker a vegetarian?

You better sit him down for this.

I had to go with Chuck Norris. You could base so many new games off of him as the host... like "Dodge the Roundhouse Kick"!

IMO....no one. CBS should retire the show and try something new.

Should, but TPIR is the only network-sponsored game show that have lasted this long.

The new show debuts Monday. 10:00 on KGMB. I think I'll at least TiVo the first episode, just to see how it is.

I'm wondering if Bob Barker and the producers of the Price is Right are not now ruing the day they picked Drew Carey (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20071101/people-carey-marijuana/)to be Bob's replacement? He has announced that his "platform" (like Bob always advocated for spaying and neutering animals) will be to advocate for the use of medical marijuana.
Drew Carey won't tout toking up on "Price," but he defends the use of medical marijuana in a video posted online Thursday on Reason.tv.
"Smell that smell," the 49-year-old comedian says as he walks into a Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensary. "That's the smell of freedom."
The video is one of 20 Carey will host for the Reason Foundation, a nonprofit educational group whose ideas "some people call libertarian" and whose mission is to "advance freedom," said president David Nott.
I guess it could be worse...he could endorse body piercings.

I'd probably want to be stoned the rest of my life too, if I made a movie like "Geppetto". :D

You mean Bob wasn't already rolling his own for the past decade? He appeared more surfeited than Dean Martin during happy hour.:p
