Digital Camera Stores on Oahu?

Aloha all,

I'll be in Hawaii in August on holiday with my wife and was going to look for a new digital camera lens. Does anyone know any good shops? Preferably one with a website so I can take a look beforehand ...

Some of the big boxes carry lenses. I know Best Buy does for the major camera makes... Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, maybe others.

Ritz Camera is Ala Moana Center has camera accessories including lenses for the major brands. Kaimuki Camera is a small hole in the wall place that is packed to rafters with stuff... they have no website. May be expensive for both of these places.

Why would you wait until you come here to buy? In most cases, you may be better off buying where you are. Especially if a warranty issue comes up.

Oahu used to have a number of camera stores, but most have not been able to deal with the competition from the Internet. Mel nailed all the ones I could think of. Me, I'd probably buy from an Internet store. Cheaper.

if you're looking for Canon gear Kaimuki Camera has it.. it's a small local camera shop that caters to Canon. although i shoot Nikon :D

We live here and get most of our camera gear through amazon.com. Used to go to a place on Young Street, but that was when we were still using film. my kingdom for a digital slr!
