I wasn't sure where to put this thread...I am a Buddhist and I was wondering if anyone knew of any groups that sit together on a regular basis on Oahu. I have a Sangha here in Va that I'm really going to miss :(
The type of Buddhism doesn't matter too much...I won't be too picky as I may not have options. I am currently in a Vipassana group.
For those not familiar with the term Sangha, I guess it's similar to ohana. It's your spiritual support group, your friends, and your family of sorts.
Thanks!

When I saw your "Sangha" thread I thought "kindred soul". I practice Mahayana Buddhism and have been a follower of HHDL for about 15 years. I'm facing the same situation when I move to Kauai. But judging from the prayer flags on the driveway leading up to the house next door to mine on Kauai I'm thinking it won't be too difficult. :D I currently attend a group in Berkeley and will miss the interaction. I'm sure you are familiar with ESanga.com great place for Buddhist to hang out on line. Welcome to HT. I’m thinking you should not have too much difficulty finding a place on Oahu.
Namaste...:)

Thanks! I'll check out ESangha. I think there is a place in Honolulu. I'll have to get in contact with them to find out more info.

Many years ago...
I was involved with the "Siddha Meditation Ashrams".
Different because it's Hinduism, but same as it's family.
That's what all religions offer... family/belonging.
That's good enough for now. :)

I sat with my Sangha here in Richmond for the first time in a long while. I'm really going to miss them :(
