What games do you play with your family?

I'm not talking video games. We like playing Apples to Apples but haven't played it in a while. We used to play Scrabble now and then also. We also had a hanafuda phase.

Anyone care to recommend good games that we can play with friends and family?

Monopoly! When I was real little, we lived right across the street (Ventnor Ave.) from the entrance to Marvin Gardens. My grandmother lived on Atlantic Ave. and after my husband and I were married, we lived around the corner from the Water Works (which is a really cool museum like place). Monopoly was always a family favorite.

Roughly how many people would be playing at one time?

I grew up in a cards family. Rummy was my favorite, but we also played candy poker (candy instead of poker chips). Yahtzee was popular too. Cards and dice.. I need to get to vegas someday!

hanafuda, especially when the gathering includes three generations :)

Remember the YAKUs! We also play with the small hard cards for the sound effects as we slap the cards on the table, especially when using the GAJI!

Then, there's TRIVIAL PURSUIT, although I have handicaps declared against me.
