I live on Maui and will be going to Honolulu soon. I'd like to buy my Mom a DVD for Abarenbo Shogun. Does anyone know which store carries them? I've Googled, but prefer to go to a local store instead of buying online from a Japanese company. Thanks very much!:)
Edited to add: If I could find an American online company, that would be great, too.

I have edited and transferred the first 40 episodes from VHS to DVD. Have another 30-40 unedited episodes.

Thank you, Oceanpacific... Sorry I didn't answer. I am in the middle of trying to negotiate with my coworker's relative. I hope it works out. If not, I'll be in touch.:)

I charge only for the cost of materials (blank DVDs, jewel cases) and mailing. My time is free - my belief is that these programs are meant to be shared with other fans.

Wow, that's so generous of you. I've never watched the show, but my Mom is in love with one of the actors. :)

Well, you can watch them with your mom. The episodes are sub-titled in English. The series started about 28 years ago.

Dear Kumu,
I live in Oahu & found your thread while also searching for the Abarenbo TV Series.
May I also request your kind assistance and receive a copy of the series too.
I would gladly reimburse you for the time and materials involved.
Best Regards,

i would also like to get some of these early episodes. i have most of them, and i can trade you later episodes. i also have 5 seasons of kage no gundan, yagyu ichizoku no inbo, and yagyu jubei abaretabi. they are very poor quality, looks like someone recorded the programs with a camcorder in front of a tv set. but to me, who is way far from hawaii, i still watch them all the time. i also have a few of the made for tv movies of abarenbo shogun
