Okay I'm streaming KSSK here in Keaau and the talk is about a light flying across the night sky over Honolulu last night?

The ISS and the Space Shuttle? Was there a direction of travel for the lights? Going west to east would be the ISS/Shuttle.

Maybe it was one of those hurricane observation flights, the ones that collect real-time data from inside the storm?

I doubt it. There are just C-130 planes taking off and landing from Honolulu International Airport, wouldn't be any reason for them to fly over Oahu and it wouldn't be any different from planes taking off or landing there at night.
