MM, how perfect you posted these, especially Hendrix, as I've been hoping to have time for some of this after hearing the announcement of the Woodstock movie being aired at the Doris Duke Theatre on Tu/Wed, and not being able to make it. I love that flick, and always look forward to the part of the Port-O-San man talking about his son off in Nam, and then saying how much he supports the event and those there. Always chokes me up. Then comes Jimi, who strolls on stage on a chilly Monday morning as the rest of the East coast is gearing up for thier work week, and the audience always wakes up big time to get ready for the most incredible version of The Star Spangeled Banner, which never fails to mesmerize.

Cool to see Johnny Winter too. He was just on Oahu a month or so ago at Aloha Tower, and played great. He's been all thru the UK/Europe and Asia lately, and it was terrific to see him still in fine form, albeit even more frail.
