Aloha!

I am searching for sth. like a standard labor contract for Hawaii.
I am working for a German disabled man who wants to go to Hawaii for a
long time. Currently, we're at home in Germany. Me and 2 collegues are going to accompany him and work for
him on Maui. Therefore, we applied for Visas. Last week, we went to
the Embassy and applied. They told us we need an amendment to our
existing German labor contract that shows we will be paid the
prevailing wages that are valid for Maui. The thing is, we found out
about the prevailing wages via the flcdatacenter. But still, I'm not sure that's all they
want to have. So I wonder if there is sth. like a standard contract we might use and just put in the specific things which apply for our specific situation.
That's it :)
Anyone got some idea???

Mahalo nui and best regards from Germany
Katharina

sth. = something

I think she needs to provide a little more info though, like what they would be trying to do for work, for anyone to give her something a little more specific in the way of a wage scale.

On sports boards it means "season ticket holder"... but I don't think that helps you, sorry.

Maybe Stairway To Heaven? sorry again

aloha peshkwe,

the kind of work should be "personal and home care aides". i found the governmental website where you can select the area and the type of occupation. so i do know about the wages.
what i ment to ask for was if there is something like a standard working contract that everyone uses and if that is available somewhere in the web. i couldn't find one but thought there must be one.

I have a feeling that the one you found would be it for overall general wage possibilities.

You could probably check the online versions of the newspapers for something more specific and in line with your skill/education levels, although you may have to contact places offering the jobs directly as some don't publish the pay scales in their ads.

You could possibly print out ads that state the wage scale (if published) as an addition to the government page you've already found to show that there are viable openings and a need for what you're proposing as a career.

I am not sure that the form you are asking about exists but here are some sites that may help.

Hawaii Dept. of Labor and Industrial Relations
http://www.hawaii.gov/labor/rs/wages.shtml

Google turned up these sites that may have something you can use.
