i was looking forward to this one but i have to say that i was disappointed in it. i mean, it's not a huge disappointment but those guys aren't particularly outstanding athletes/martial artists. (the most laughable example is the guy from england who's got no particular qualifications [that i can see] apart from his own claim that he's very competitive and tougher than he looks.)

and if that weren't enuf, they're given so little time to train and compete against people who've done x, y, and z their whole lives!

granted, those guys are gutsy but the circumstances aren't very realistic.

(regarding the premiere episode, the scene that was pretty amazing was the scene where the 3 chosen ones had their legs ripped by pirahna teeth and then soaked with chili water or was it salt?!? auwe!)
