Hot on the heels of "Songs About Crime (http://www.hawaiithreads.com/showthread.php?p=169290#post169290)", there's many songs that talk about the worst aspect of mankind: War.
Metal music has this subject thoroughly covered...
• War Pigs* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbxfe7DMxVo) - Black Sabbath
A few of MANY (if not all, LOL!) by Megadeth...
• Symphony of Destruction (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZmPD6-vNVY)
• Peace Sells* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DWoJBHibhM) (But Who's Buying?)
• Gods of War* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiyw6iVgT1A) - Def Leppard (<--- one of their best "non-mainstream" songs)
• Allied Forces* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qGdxe6aVQg) - Triumph
• Fight the Good Fight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QI_lQjf1eo) - Triumph
• Aces High* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdabej99FPw) - Iron Maiden
• The Trooper* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgqxQmAbTBc) - Iron Maiden (<--- cool video)
...there is SO MUCH more to add, but here's a start!

Although White Rabbit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xhYk9PEmXA) (Jefferson Airplane) should be in the "Songs About Crime" thread (drugs), everytime I hear it I think of the Vietnam War. Probably because of the movie Platoon.

David Bowie's "Suffragette City."
The line "Ahhhh, wham, bam, thank you ma'am" is violent and war-like.
That is what he meant, I'm pretty sure.
And as my signature line below says...

Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is a metal genius and an overall awesome guitarist. His voice is gritty and dramatic, yet almost comical in some sense. As you may know, he did a short stint as lead guitarist of Metallica before founding Megadeth.
If you ever need a metal fix, pick up the "Rude Awakening" DVD. It's definitive of the genre.
