Just thought I'd do a little heads-up relay:
TG OF HOPE 2007......KAU KAU WAGON
Saturday NOVEMBER 24, 2007 11 am Gateway Park on the corner of Hotel and Bethel Street. Drop off for items and set up will be between 1030 on the corner of Hotel and bethel next to the Hawaii Theater.
Items we would love to have.............
Turkey.... cooked and ready to serve.....
We already have 45 of those so not a biggie on that one.
We could use another 5- 10 more cooked and ready to serve
Gravy...5 gallons..got it... If anyone wants to make a few extra gallons that would be fine. Always better to have too much then not enough
HAMS.....we need 30-35 , sliced and ready to serve
so far we have 2 lol
YAMS....we need 30-35 pans cooked and ready to serve
so far we have 2
Veggies...cooked and ready to serve.....
we have 600 servings as of now....but could use about another 200 servings.
Rice...got it
Stuffing we need 40-45 pans, cooked and ready to serve
Cranberry sauce........sliced and ready to serve.....
we need 15 pans...
30 dozen rolls.........
Fresh fruits..... 35-45 bags at least or cases would be great......Apples, oranges, bananas are great
Pies ...60-70
none so far
Can Whip cream...
10-15 cans
Snacks.........candy cookies, snack bars......etc......
Juice, water
Would love to have the bottled water....would need 20 cases
We could do the 10 gallons of fresh cold water coolers
Juice we will need 20 gallons of juice, the concentrate gallon jugs would be great for us to make and use

Plus we could use bags of ICE big time!!!
Our ice maker can't keep up with the volume
Finally on the food and beverage part.........WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE the fast food coupon books......such as McDonalds, BURGER KING, TACO BELL etc....That way they could use those for another meal another time when we are not there.
NOW onto the NON food items...................
Large Clam Shell serving containers we will need 700
Plus we could use the strong paper plates....about 300 as a back up
1000 napkins
1000 forks knifes and spoons
Disposable Paper table cloths 20
we will need 15-20 serving tables...folding ones would be great
6 ft.
Tarps...10 large ones
Large trash bags
Large Foil
Serving gloves 3-5 boxes
Any disposable serving utensils such as spoons etc
Clothing.....
We could use plenty.......slippahs, sneakers etc......Some Large clothing would be great as well. T-shirts are the best. Please no wedding dresses, fur coats,sequined clothing and stuff like that.. LOL Yes we have had a few of those donated. It was great for the humor side of things. However it isn't exactly functional for the individuals we serve.
Toiletries..............soaps, shampoos, and all that kind of stuff......
Towels, blankets, etc..........
OK anything any of u can think of would be great.......
maybe some old toys for some of the keikei ...like stuffed animals
or maybe some reading books........
