Does anyone in here shop at Harry's Music in Honolulu ?
If so, is HArold Chang still in charge of the percussion dept there
?
He was the percussionist for Arthur Lyman and Martin Denny's group back in the day.
Does anyone have an email addy for the store ?

Does anyone in here shop at Harry's Music in Honolulu ? They specialize in handling stuff for high school bands and marching bands, etc., so it's not a regular stop for me... but still, it's a classic. Been there 60 years or so.
If so, is Harold Chang still in charge of the percussion dept there? Are you sitting down? The answer is... YES!

Now. Maybe you can help me. I need a bridge for a 5-string banjo, and can't find one here on the island. Any suggestions in your neck of the woods?

LOL....McCabe's Music (http://www.mccabes.com/) in Santa Monica.
They specialze in acoustic instruments, and I'm sure they have what you need for your banjo.
And,by the way, I spoke to Harold Chang about an hour after I posted this
Amazing that he is a manager at a Music store. I sent him a CD. :D

Or.... yes, I made an unintentional bad pun. Banjo bridge... your neck of the woods... :p I swear I didn't think of that when I wrote it!
Glad to see they're still around! Sad to see that you're not on their concert schedule... yet. Great little showroom there in the back of the store.
