Day Trips to Maui and Kauai?

I am going to be vacationing on Oahu again in August and want to do a day trip or two to Maui and/or Kauai. I know Affordable Tours offers packages but who are some of the others and are they reputable firms?

No idea on the tour packages but if you do go to a neighbor island I think you will need to stay overnight. It's waiting at the airport that is going to eat up your time.
