It's insane over here. I keep running into people I know. We are taking over the French 1/4.

Live music everywhere and all the musicians are acknowledging the Hawaii fans.

$2.00 beers are everywhere and a "HUGE ASS BEER" is only $4.00. They are more expensive when inside the bars but nobody seems to care. Everybody is partying.

There is a good gumbo shop open 24 hours on the corner of Conti and Dauphine its called "Deja Vu".

They saved my hide last night around 2AM got some seafood gumbo and threw in some extra hot sauce it was da winna. Instead of a nasty hangover I slept just fine and and ready to start drinking again.

I haven't seen anybody running around naked yet and no takers on the guys yelling "show me your tits" last night but it was raining about as hard as it possibly could. There was thunder and lightning the roads were flooding all night long. We had a great time.

It's about 10:30Am now. I just woke up and am having a free cup of chickory coffee and thought i'd drop the HT gang an ALOHA from black water country.

representing!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah.

Dey only get dirty rice and Jambalaya... Its sooo ono though.

We went shopping today and loaded up on t-shirts hot sauces, feathers, masks, and all sorts of junk.

This is our second day here. Yesterday the Hawaii folks were sparse and scattered around. Today it is wall to wall warrior green.

I think a few of the charters arrived this morning and dumped a few thousand Hawaiians off overnight because today the Hawaii fans easily outnumber the Georgia fans. Everywhere you go, every shop, every restaurant, every street corner is covered with WARRIOR PRIDE.

The sun came out today and we were really warm in our jackets. For a few hours I was able to take the jacket off and just wear t-shirt.

I also seen hoards of local people going in & out of Harrahs. I don't think the casino knows what hit them yet. They must be making bank on all the hardcore gamblers that flew in. I am not hardcore but will probably go play a little tonight. Will let you all if I get lucky or not... I got my ti leaf dyed Warriors shirt so I might need to wear it into Harrahs tonight and see if it was worth the $23 I paid Crazy Shirts for the design.

I think most Louisiana people are happy Hawaii is here. A lot of them LSU fans want to see Hawaii make Georgia suffer something humiliating.

I been telling the LSU fans the same thing I told a drunk Georgia fan that got up in my face last night in one of the Bourbon street bars.

You just watch what happens on Monday.

Aloha from the 1/4

ho tonite was mento.

Last night only haD three people on the balcony down by Johnny Whites tonight it was wall to wall GREEN and five rows deep of WARRIOR PRIDE.

Fricking Georgia fans... I met couple cool ones but most a da otta guys real idiots / they in big trouble come tuesday when we win.

We got more gumbo tonight. I was drinking beer out of a fishbowl.

Fishbowl is $10 .../... refills only $5 the best deal for beer in the french 1/4 YES just in case there is any confusion, you can buy a fishbowl and fill it with beer and suck em up. I felt like a rock star walking around all da local people was like "ho brah WTF where did you get the fishbowl".

I just realized my digital camera has no wire hookup and my laptrop has no memory card hookup so NO PICS for upload.

I know this thread is becoming worthless without pics.

You guys gon hafta wait.

Its 3AM I just got back to the room.

WARRRIOR PRIDE in da 1/4

THIS IS HISTORY IT'S AWESOME DOWN HERE I GOT 4 EXTRA TICKETS if anybody wants them fly over and PM me your going to the game.

Oh yeah and Mufi Hanneman and Kanoa Leahi was trowing beads tonight from the Aloha Airlines party balcony. Talk about wild times.

OK shoots, today was mellow, we woke up around 9AM (that's about 5 hrs of sleep and the most we got in one night since we left O'ahu).

I was somewhat hungover from the two and a half fishbowls of beer I drank so all I had for breakfast was coffee.

We took a streetcar out to the "Garden District" where in the 1800's wealthy Americans built their homes on large lots with mostly Victorian architectures. We walked a self guided tour with a "Frommers New Orleans" book.

There were some really nice homes and stories behind each of them. One a Civil War Coronel, one a Tobacco grower, Anne Rice featured homes, haunted homes, and the highlight of our day was the New Orleans Cemetary No. 1 (the oldest one).

Thats about it. We didn't rent a car so we used the streetcars today. The streetcars were packed like sardines with N.O. locals and tourists from Hawaii and Georgia alike.

To say the least, it was interesting to have the roles reversed and finally "be the tourist" in the packed trolley.

So were back in our hotel room for a few hours. Plans for tonight are Emirils (Yes, I made reservations a month ago and back then there were only two tables left at 6 or 6:30)

I finally got the picture problem solved I bought a USB port thinga-ma-jiggy here's a sample of what we seen so far...

I am trying a little YouTube experiment. See if the quality from my digi cam is any good. My laptop has no sound. Can you guys hear this or is it a silent movie?

I finally sold my 4 extra tickets to an LSU fan who drove down from Slidell to watch the game. He is hoping Hawaii demolishes Georgia.

$250 for all four, we paid $800 for them three weeks ago.

Check out craigslist, there are lots of people stuck with extra tickets, I seen one guy with 20 tickets still for sale!

Off to PAR-TY ALOHA !!!

GO WARRIORS!

We ended the day yesterday with a cemetery tour.

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/8587/p1010321zb0.th.jpg (http://img267.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1010321zb0.jpg)

Then after a brief interlude back at the hotel we got ready for the evening.

There are great stories about what happened last night on the Advertiser.com and other news sites I am sure..

Last night I took the wife to Emirils where we got a table with a wine sampler package in front of our chef who cooked us a five course meal that was matched with the wines.

Neither of us had ever dined like this ever before in our lives.

http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7849/p1010339ub4.th.jpg (http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1010339ub4.jpg)

Forget about the fact I have bought entire vehicles cheaper than our bill was last night but it was so worth it. I think we started a new New Years Tradition.

We walked out of Emirils and headed down to the Willie K party at the Sugar Mill but never made it. On the way there, we began talking with a few locals who invited us to have a drink at Richies bar in Harrahs Hotel. We tried to decline but they insisted. They wanted to talk to us about Hawaii and they shared with us their true creole heritage.

2 B cont.... (time for breakfast)
