Talk about a huge trade for the Lakers. They acquired 7-0 PF/C Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown and a bunch of throw ins and draft picks.
What was even more cool was the fact the Lakers didn't have to trade any of their core players.
When the Lakers tried to acquire Jermaine O'Neal, Indiana wanted Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum in return.Instead they were able to get a all star big man for something equal to bench scrubs.

Fixed. Kwame's amongst the throw-ins.
Calling Critt a bench scrub? JC got huge potential. Hollywood Cake is finally out of LA!!!!!!

Now I know why I had not heard of JC. The guy is only averaging 3.3ppg 1.0rpg and .8 apg. Hence why I labeled him a bench scrub. Hell all the players traded
for Pau Gasol are bench scrubs.
You know potential doesn't always translate into tangible production.

You can't rate a rookie on a Phil Jackson team based on stats alone. Phil doesn't give them burn. Are you a basketball fan?

Considering Kobe's scoring like 40 points sometime every week, you gotta wonder if Pau is ever going to see much of the ball. Then again, Kobe was winning championships when he had a real presence in the center...but Pau is no Shaq. Now they need an x-factor Robert Horry type player...my pick would be that italian guy in Toronto, as he hasn't hit his prime yet.

Kobe hasn't had to gun for 30+ that often this year, because LA's had great ball movement and legit inside presence with Bynum. The past few weeks, Phil has asked Kobe to play like the last two years because Bynum's out with a knee injury. Kupchak pulled off a huge trade to get Pau to alleviate pressure on Bean, dump that bum-ass Kwame, and give LA some inside muscle until Bynum's back. I don't think LA needs another Horry-type, since they have good post D in Bynum and Odom, and good 3-point shooters in Fisher, Farmar, Kobe, Snowboard, The Machine, and Walton (if he ever gains his confidence back this season).

Of course I am. But I am strictly a NBA fan, I hardly watch the college game.
Which is probably how you are basing your hype on J.C on ?

No, I haven't had any interest in ACC basketball since Marbury left. JC had an impressive preseason. I thought NBA fans knew that Phil won't depend on rookies that much.
