Is it time to change the NCAA basketball season finale song of One Shiny Moment? Will a change upset traditionalists like the way June Jones did when he put a stop to the playing of Hawaii Five-O?

"One Shiny (sic) Moment" is a greater tradition in sports than the UH Band playing "Hawaii Five-O," IMO. True UH fans prefer "Fight For Old Hawaii," "Co-Ed," and know the lyrics to the "University of Hawaii Alma Mater."

"One Shiny Moment" is annoying when the team you're rooting for loses, and is a chicken skin song when your team wins.
I feel for the city of Memphis. I had the same feeling when the UH men's volleyball team were 3 points away from the title, and then lost to UCLA during the Yuval Katz era. And that title would have counted according to the NCAA.

Which is more depressing? Your favorite team heartbreaking lost in the championship game or a breakup with someone.

Breaking up with someone. If your favorite team losing affects you that much, you need to turn off the TV and go outside.

For the record, it's ONE SHINING MOMENT ..............

It replaced THIS IS IT, by Kenny Loggins.

Who has a better season ending swan song? The CBS college basketball season with "One Shiny Moment" or UH sports career graduation ceremony with Brother Iz "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
