You read correctly -- northern Virginia. :(

Aloha! My screen name is derived from my name in real life. Tevin is my first name, my first middle name is Mitchell, and my second middle name is Kawika.

I am only 1/8 Hawaiian (and also 1/8 Japanese) and look very haole. I know a lot about the Hawaiian culture due to a 1/2 Hawaiian grandmother and 1/4 Hawaiian mother who also love the Hawaiian culture. I am 15 years old and am a student. I love to write -- moving to Hawaii and writing for Star Bulletin or Hawaii magazine would be great. I also love music -- I play bass.

I found this website on Google. I was looking for a predominately Hawaiian community to talk to about the islands -- hard to find in Virginia, so I went to the net to look.

Well, that's me in a nutshell. I look foward to posting here and meeting new people.

Welcome to HT!

I just moved to NoVA, from Oahu.

Where abouts are you in Nova?

(chants) Eia no Kawika e,
Ka heke a'o na pua e,
'Ea, 'ea, 'ea,
'Ea, 'ea, 'ea...

((sings) Eia no Kawika, 'ea,
O ka heke a'o na pua.

Do you know that song? I love the Sunday Manoa!

Anyways, aloha... e komo mai! Pehea 'oe i keia la?

My 'ohana and I went to VA once, and it was so wonderful. It would be fun to go back.

Have you ever been to Hawai'i Nei?

I hope to keep in touch with you as time goes on! Mahalo for joining. Who knows, maybe I'll make a new hoaloha!

A hui hou!

Oh, and I forgot to say, I'm a musician too. I love singing and playing the piano and may learn how to play the 'ukulele as well. Do you play any Hawaiian music? I'd love to kanikapila if we meet somewhere!
