One way to check what kind of plastic you're drinking out of is to check the number in the recycle triable. If it's "7" it may be a plastic made with Bisphenol A.
So I dug though a bunch of plastic water bottles. All "1"s. Then I looked on the bottom of a 5 gal water bottle used on our cooler with a well-known local company printed on the label. :eek:
