NBA playoff games that determined who wins the championship might have been fixed by a crooked referee. It would be like picking up a person and having a relationship, only to find out that person was paid for by your friend, which you see in a plot of movie relationship comedies.

Tim Donaghy, a referee who has been terminated for admitting to betting on games that he officiated, alleged through his attorneys that the NBA forced referees to fix games--most notably game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals between LA-Sacramento. Donaghy also claims that some referees were reprimanded in 2000 for games that they failed to fix.

The Celtics are up 3 games to one already. Can Commish David Stern let ex-felon/referee Tim Donaghy officiate the next game just to stop him from talking more trash?

I knew there had to be a good reason why the Lakers are 2 down to those Boston bums!

I don't think fans complain that much about bad calls as long as it goes against both teams. The Make-up call by a referee is an unwritten rule that fans expect to cancel the bad call.
