I have come across 15 accounts own by the same guy who refuses to use or show his own face on myspace .. But the photo he will use is that of ur own native man who does modelling, I have learn`t alot how pple can try and portait themself as anyone they want but when it comes to time to ask them to show their faces there excuss is well this is`t really my photo ..so why do they use other pples photos...

Speaking of using photos that don't belong to you, this is probably a good time to remind everyone about our guidelines relating to embedding images in posts: If they're not your images and they're not on your server, do not display them, just link to them (or ideally the page on which they appear on the originating website). Otherwise, it's "bandwidth theft," and unfairly impacts the remote server with every view of the post here on HawaiiThreads. Thanks!

Those photos come from the Focus International (http://www.focushawaii.com/) website. Here's the page for the third guy (http://www.focushawaii.com/view_male_models.htm). You don't work for them, do you? :p
As for people using other people's photos for their online profiles, this is a very, very widespread practice. Someone here on this board has written about having her own family's photos uploaded to dozens of accounts, and I've had my own photos of my kids claimed as someone else's kids online. They sometimes create whole narratives behind the stolen images.
Wanting to meet American girls is one motive, sure. There are plenty of other more likely reasons, however.

Well in the case of photo sharing files sites such as Flickr, it depends on the licensing you choose. If you choose "creative commons" then people can post them to other sites as long as they are not commercial I think. For me, I have learned to copyright all of my photos and have actually called a few sites on copyright violation.

Tutu! What a coincidence! I'm glad that you can contact that guy and let him know. Wow, what a wierd thing to have happen! Poor guy...in Hawaii you'd like to think that you're mostly isolated from this kind of thing. Thanks a bunch www!

The State of Hawaii is a very small town, TG. Not unusual at all...nor weird...in this day and age! The internet eliminates all isolated boundries. I emailed his agent. I doubt I'll hear back. It's out of my hands at this point.

No to your first question!
Per post #7 above, I've contacted his AGENT, not him.
It sounds like internet "dating" isn't working for you.

Well it seem see that most African men are choicing to use Casey Photos
as there own from Focus International Hawaii and as u can see this is breaking there code of practice when someone uses ur photos without asking..

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=115955044
The first one I`ve place here has taken the trouble to use some more of Casey photos as his own, as he wont place his own photographic..
Now I`m not being racial but my point is why bothered using other pples photos sure, when the other person ask if he can see them on webcam, as many of us all have been asked this including me but, I don`t own a webcamera because I don`t like the device but thats my choice...
I`ve came across a lady who as has ran into this man who posing as this photo, we have become rather good friends. And she has told me that many african many use these photos, because they have a daft idea that British and America women dont like African men. Well I`m begining to wonder why. Well if they stop using photos that is`t theres then they might be surprise, who talk to who doesn`t matter what ur colour skin is...

I think most HTers are already aware of the plethora of "characters" who set up shop on the internet, be it myspace, facebook, you name it! With all due respect, Janette, I think the only person you're kidding is yourself.

I`ve given up in search for a prefect manThere's the wise part. Seeking perfection guarantees disappointment. Are you perfect? Such a thing doesn't exist.
Having standards is good, however; don't settle for crap or abuse (physical, mental, emotional), look far and wide for those with some interest in your interests, as well as enough of their own interests to keep you interested.
Don't sweat over relationships that didn't work out - you can learn something valuable from every one of them, and it's part of the process of figuring out who you are and what you want.
And when you see out-and-out deceptive behavior, such as the type you describe here, just move beyond it; it ain't worth wasting your time over that, because there are people out there who don't feel the need to lie to find a partner - and that's who you want to meet.

Its the way he put himself about with other ladies on myspace that he was playing games with each of us, so I decide to get my own back on him and do my homework and took a look at Nigerian, because he said to me I have to go to work in Nigerian as my boss as asked me to work over there, when I did my homework I was shock to discovered that there was more than one account he had...
When I asked him about the other accounts he ignore me and refuse point blink to answer my questions on them all, however my other friend julia who was also incontact with him, told her that he place all those other accounts looking for the prefect woman to married and so she told me..

Ugh! Is anybody else sick and tired of those shady emails from people who want your 'help' releasing money from other countries? (meaning, they - strangers - want to help themselves to your hard earned money via some ridiculous email scam) I got 5 new ones today in my inbox. I'm starting to feel insulted. Isn't there some law against this? Shouldn't there be one? Can't we make this stop? Its worse than phone solicitors!! I'd love to personally fly to wherever this bull comes from and start strangling people at internet cafes!

Nope...otherwise it woulda stopped by now! I've noticed an increase of late, however. My guess is the spam gurus are working hard on it. That'll just breed a whole, new batch of spammers. And the beat goes on. Unfortunately those idiots still get takers.
Just hit the delete key. That takes so much less time and energy then fretting about it. Really. That tip was given to me by a computer guru friend when I was complaining about those same letters...10 years ago! It works! ;)
Years ago someone intentionally followed up on one of the Nigerian money letters and blogged about it. The blogger had the scammer jumping thru hoops. It was hysterical. Wish I still had the link. That was at least 7 hard drives ago!

It's called a 419 scam.
"Countries in West Africa with warnings cited include Nigeria,[8][10] Ghana,[11][12] Benin,[13] Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast),[14] Togo,[15][16] Senegal[17] and Burkina Faso.[18] Countries outside of West Africa with 419 warnings cited include South Africa[16][19], Spain,[19] and The Netherlands.[20]"
These scams take many forms from advance money scams, threats, fake romance, even puppy scams.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/419_Scam
Basically I would stay away from anything that asks anything of you that comes from West Africa, in particular Nigeria. It may very well be the most corrupt place on Earth from the highest officials to the petty street hustler. One news crew was even extorted $800 by Nigerian airport officials while they were being filmed a few years back!
