I'm looking for some local kine t-shirts related to Hawaii that aren't too touristy. Anyone know any good websites for some?

I tried that. A lot of them were touristy crap, and others were expensive, and I didn't want to sift through thousands of websites when I could just ask here. :)

Gotta suggest the obvious: Crazy Shirts (http://www.crazyshirts.com/). A friend of the family has worked with them her whole adult life, though, so I may be a bit biased.

I just received in the mail today a T-shirt from the Punaluu Bakery in Naalehu. I think it's neat (and definitely unique) to possess a T-shirt from the most southern bakery in the U.S.A. After all, only one bakery can boast that claim! If you might find this neat as well and would like to own one of them yourself, you can buy it online at Bakeshophawaii (www.bakeshophawaii.com).

Surfingfarmboy's idea is good. You could get t-shirts from the different businesses around here that sell them, like the north shore shave ice places, or Kapiolani Coffee Shop (oxen bathing in hot soup), or Hasegawa General Store. Oh wait. I wonder if those are too touristy for your purposes.

I would do that if I lived in Hawai`i. :(

As touristy as Matsumoto's is now, I picked up a t-shirt from there and still wear it... proudly. (Waiola didn't have any t-shirts. :()

I worked for them for almost 15 years. They always had a good product. The new owner was irritating in dropping sick leave days for everyone hourly
on the sales floor amongst other new policies. It was nothing like working for them in the glory days of original owner and founder Rick Ralston. Those
definitely were the days of unreal benefits and perks for all employed!:)

Their different dyes are quite nice and still unique as well as the free gift wrapping.

Eldest spawn is currently jogging around her SoCal neighborhood in a "Obama Ohana" t-shirt! For the most part, she's the only one who gets it! :D

Filled up a bag at the Crazy Shirt outlet in Waikele today; sat on the way home sniffing the Kona Coffee dyed tee. Would you believe they were selling Myrtle Beach tees, too!! Almost bought one, but opted for the honu longsleeve instead.

Thanks, pzarquon!
