looking to learn as much as I can, before I get there. If we can start with HT websites. At the risk of sounding stupid (which I am ok with because I am new ;) the words in the fourm titles ... what do they mean? Like;

Hale Heahea
Hui Aloha
kama`aina

etc...

(I hope this is the right post for this question)

2. Hui (coming together; company; club) Aloha (love; care etc)

3. Kama'aina (one who been in residing in Hawaii for a long time)

A pleasant way to pick up some Hawaiian language is at //ksdl.ksbe.edu/kulaiwi/ , a series of lessons done for TV in the 1990's.

I'm not fluent in 'olelo Hawai'i, but if you need help with anything here on HT or just have questions about a word or phrase that comes up randomly that you don't know, feel free to ask me 'cause I'll be happy to kokua if I'm able to.
