Cirque du Soleil in Honolulu

I haven't seen alot of press on this and our city is not listed as having a show coming to town on the official Cirque website...I would like to see it if they are coming. Where would one get tickets? Blaisdell box office? it's supposed to be in the Arena if they are coming.

Any info would be appreciated.

The arena-size version of "Saltimbanco" will be at Blaisdell Oct. 30 to Nov. 16. Tickets went on sale through TicketMaster August 4.

I've seen a couple of Cirque du Soleil shows, "Mystere" at Treasure Island in Vegas and "Dralion" in Amsterdam. Mystere was better, but both were great. Amazing demonstrations of grace and strength. Money well spent. Highly recommended.

Check out this amazing audition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaWOUOZvWcY&fmt=18) for Cirque. I would only be half surprised to hear she didn't make the cut. Their standards are high.

My friend took some circus classes with people who auditioned. You get to perform your strongest act, but that's just like a warm up. Then you have to perform impromptu pieces and still wow the judges. You have to sing too, even if you never had a lesson. Scary.

Took my family to see "Saltimbanco" today. I was skeptical, but ended up enthralled. We all loved it. I think the only weak point was the pair of drummers doing something like taiko... only because we've got real taiko in Hawaii. Altogether highly recommended.
