Also notice in the Members List section that below our username most of us are "Keiki". I take it this will change as one post more messages?

Quite right. I just came up with the set to have some values besides "Beginner," "Intermediate," and the like. I'm not even sure if the stages are really logical (Hawaiian social roles don't sit along one scale), and the qualifying points will probably be moved around depending on just how active things get here. Suggestions welcome!
In case you're curious, here's the breakdown right now:
Keiki: 0 posts
Haumana: 20 posts
Kanaka: 50 posts
Luna: 100 posts
Kia`aina: 200 posts
Kumu: 400 posts
Ali`i: 800 posts

Haumana: 20 posts
You could make Haumana 25 posts. That way everything would be doubled for the next level.

If you ask me, KUMU should be a higher ranking than ALI`I.

I guess the majority of the people who post around here have more of a life than most people who post in other forums and have 10K+ posts.
Don't confuse "have a life" with anything or assume it (or lack thereof) by the amount of posts. For many here, their business requires them to be active on their computers all through the day, (and night, sometimes) and it is easy too have netscape running in the b/g so you can pop on whenever you need a wikiwiki distraction...
I am busy with film and video editing/post production all day and night, so it is easy to pop onto H.threads often without any guilt..
(now, those who post here just to see an uptick in their qty, and belabor the subject... dass anodda story...)

Of course, it was left anonymously. One of 3 reds vs. countless green gums. Mahalo to all the greeny folks out there! ;)

I do not mind being called Keiki. It sounds real tacky and funny for a beginner like myself. But when I saw the "Hawaiian Dictionary" I did not see anything like that in there. Maybe I am wrong correct me if I am wrong.
Also can somebody tell me what is the word "Paki" come from. I being called all that all my life. I am NOT taking offesenily I kinda like it. I liked to be called to the Paki man or whatever. That is the Hawaiian in me.
