ok; a new poll;
where can one find great "tropical drinks"?
and which ones are yer faves?

I haven't touched a "tropical drink" in years. But back in the 1980s I used to like the Pearl Harbor that they made at Ryan's: one part Midori, two parts vodka, and three parts pineapple juice. The name was for two reasons: (1) it's green and murky, and (2) you gotta watch out for the sneak attack. :p

This makes me think; what are tropical drinks; who are they created and made for: are they unattractive to those that reside in the tropics?
are they a kitchy thing tourisst imbibe to make em feel they are in da tropics while they reside in a stateside tropical bar?
and then drinkem while they are in the tropics while we locals smirk at da maiati drinkers?

Maybe that's too broad, but sometimes I wonder. I'd say a tropical drink has to have rum. ;)

well i am looking for something more expansive than this
cuz wrong on both counts. brollies appear on 10% of trop drinx and rum appears in maybe 1/2 trop. drinx...

that is to query:
all drinks that have umbrellas in them are tropical drinks.
But does that mean that all tropical drinks have umbrellas in them?
No.


even less so, the rum;
not all rum drinks are tropical drinks. and not all tropical drinks have rum in them.
