There are lots of cute games online. I remember my friends having a brief obsession with Snood (http://www.snood.com/). Anyone else have any recommendations? Just about anything beats Windows' Solitaire. :)

Go to Shockwave.com. They have tons of games. I especially like the word games, but my current fave from there is "Insaniquarium". Each game costs $19.95 but you can also buy a monthly subscription that allows you access all the games in their library (and they have hundreds of games). They let you trial each game for 60 minutes before you have to buy it.
