I'm sure some of it can be attributed to the rising cost of jet fuel, but now Hawai'i has the dubious distinction of having the largest airfare increases in the nation.
It doesn't bode well for people who want to fly interisland, especially the locals who already pay more than the Mainland for almost everything. That's why I think lots of locals prefer to go to LasVegas than to go holoholo to visit ohana on the neighbor islands. The fares and package deals are cheaper than flying back and forth between the islands! :mad:
