Another dumb bill is making it's rounds... This is to make being a cop a "TaX Exempt" profession. The state will lose about 7.5 million a year in taxes. Supporters say it's because the police put thier lives on the line and deserve this....Oh Hell! If that's the case why only cops? What about firemen...prison guards or anyone working with teenagers? Auwe! More time wasted.

and it doesn't end there...what about our servicemen who are really facing death everyday they're out on patrol around the world? Yes they pay taxes too and get paid even less. And yes I do know because I'm a U.S. Veteran.

The counter point to this arguement though is that all goverment employees shouldn't have to pay taxes simply because as Federal/state/county employee you are providing a civic duty to your governance so as the phrase implies: Paying taxes is your civic duty...working for the government should another way to do your civic duty.

they should be treated much better and esp. after they return. Veterans of many wars get the shaft here in america. and that is reprehensible.
