On their routes and schedule page, it says:
AT THIS TIME, OUR WEBSITE DOES NOT INCLUDE A TRIP PLANNING MECHANISM.

What is it, and do we really need one?

I think you put in the starting location and the ending location and it should give you a list of routes and transfer points to get you there.
