You've all named some fine musicians, but the best live performer is Makana, the former Ki Hoalu Kid. If you've never seen him play live, you need to make it a priority the next time he performs. The guy is crazy-good. Devastating with a steel-string guitar, charismatic as heck, and strangely humble. His teacher was the late Sonny Chillingsworth. I think the humility's related to that.
Led Kaapana, though he's getting old, is still the fastest player, and would top my list if not for Makana. The guy's got soul.
There's a local band of teenagers called Debauch. Black metal's almost certainly not your style (it's not mine, anyway), but this band has a really good ear for melody. You won't understand a word the singer's singing, but the keyboard lines dance their way through the chugging, distorted guitars in a really nice mix. Don't let their look turn you away (they paint their faces black and white)--give them a listen.
But I'm disturbed! I'm depressed! I'm inadequate! I GOT IT ALL! (George Costanza) GrouchyTeacher.com

Talented musician, no doubt. But best performer? Nah. Saw him open for Jason Mraz at the Hawaii Theatre. Wasn't that impressed.
If we're talking about local music entertainers, I'd say Natural Vibrations is right up there among the top local acts. Book them for a show, and you know they'll entertain the crowd.
