Sumo Saimin

We have a toad at home and it's been hard to describe how big it is. But tonight I looked out the window into the garage to check on our cats and see a cat eating food. But beyond it, soaking in the saimin bowl where the cats have their water, is this thing. And I go out and realize it's SUMO our toad.
So I thought I'd share a photo of one of our more homely pets here in Hawaii Kai. Poor thing! I guess I have to make it a pond somewhere!!

Aaaggghh!! I hope you cleaned out that water bowl before you let the cats drink from it again. Don't toads have poisonous skins?

I did but not before Comet started drinking from it. I shooed him away and washed it out. But I suspect Sumo will do it again. There are two water bowls there, but try telling that to a cat.

Hey Lavagal, please dont let the cats get too close to that toad! I lost a great companion after she messed with a toad. :( They are very poisonous to dogs so I cant imagin they would be very good for cats.
