Let's go for the good!
1) My wife and I are healthy.
2) I have a job.
3) There's a full tank of gas in my car.
There's so much to be thankful for when we think about it. Everyone please post something.

The peace and joy I find in my relationship with an intelligent, beautiful and loving woman (who happens to be from Hawai`i);
The links to Hawaiian culture that she has led me to, both in the Islands and on the Mainland (and even when we visited Japan);
That I have a job that allows me to make a living working with music on a daily basis (and have almost always had jobs in music-related fields, whether they paid well or not.)
After reading more angry threads, this was a treat to find - thank you to all the participants on HT, who add to my knowledge without knowing it.

Hey, MM. Thanks for rekindling this thread. I'd not seen it previously...probably 'cuz I was new to HT at the time!
I have a long time friend who I've had to distance myself from because she starts off each phone conversation or visit with a laundry list of negative things that are going on in her life. She truly creates her own reality. I made a deal with her a few years ago. I would listen to all of her 'problems' as long as she started each conversation with 3 positive things or things she was thankful for. That didn't work!
Every morning I recite to myself 5 things I'm thankful for from the previous day. Even when life is status quo and nothing special happened or I was unable to make lemonade out of a bunch of lemons, I can still fall back on the core of what I'm thankful for...

This one started out on the "What pisses you off" thread. Post # 27.
1) Preface: I became a whistleblower at work and the tension has been running high. But last night, the man who was the main reason for the problem came into work with a terrific attitude, hugged me and even sincerely thanked me for "busting" him. Because he and his crew are doing things right and he feels better about himself. So Cool!
2) My wife and I just returned home from the open market with lots of fresh fruits and veggies.
3) Payday's on Friday and I still have $10 bucks to put in the gas tank!
