Yep, my 20th bday will be next week Saturday, and from what I've been planning, I'll be online all day celebrating with my internet buddies (I practically have more internet buddies than real friends, but what the heck).
Anyway, I'm just wondering if any of you remembered what you did on your 20th bday?
(and don't worry, I won't drink at 21; I've experienced the effects on video games already and I don't want to do it in real life)

I will tell you when I have it next year :p
Funny thing, though. When I hit 18, my relatives spent most of the time trying to get me to taste alcohol. So I've already been given a jello shot by my mom/cousins (sucked), and red wine by my bro (also sucked), and offered Budweiser by everyone else (I'm sure it'll suck). Somehow, I don't think I'll be a big drinker in the future
I usually don't do anything on my birthdays but get presents and then go to dinner with my parents. They took me to Bob's Big Boy last time, it was the first time I ever went there. Rawk'd.

I was on the Big Island at the time I turned 20. Other than attending UH Hilo at the time I can't remember what I did during my 20th birthday.

We sat around banging rocks with flint until we got sparks and made fire.
edited to add: OK, maybe it wasn't *that* long ago, but it sure seems like it sometimes.

Though different years, of course. I can't remember how I celebrated, but I'd guess it was with a movie date (with Kilinahe, of course), a late night drive around town (Airport Road), and a midnight snack at Ken's House of Pancakes.
You know, I was 19 when I met my wife. Not only did she think I was a UHH employee that day, she also guessed I was 30. :p

Adrian, Thanks for stopping by to install the whatchmacallit into my computer this morning. You should have told me about your birthday next week. Anyways, the plan is still on for the circle island tour. October 8th. We'll start early...my birthday gift to you! Don't worry I won't make you swim nor float. LOL However, I am going into the water.
I can fit three more people in my car if you want to join us for Adrian's belated birthday celebration around the island tour. He's been around the island but never been out of the car to experience and eaten lunch at one of the many beautiful local spots we have. I want to give him that special treat!
If you'll like to join us, PM me!

The first time my family went around the isle we stopped at a lot of tourist places (and since we rode in the back of a pickup with 15 other people, it was mandatory or else we'd get cramps).
And I'll bring my camera to take a lot of pics, so that people can see what we did.

Hope your birthday went well!
I did the whole large dinner with friends thing, followed by clubbing afterward, if I recall correctly...not too hard for me to remember since I like incorporating food into every event if I can! :D
