Schools Want Their Fair Share

I think the DOE is smart going "PUBLIC (http://starbulletin.com/2005/09/28/news/index3.html) " to ask for a piece of the surplus in funds. Facility improvements should be a HIGH priority because being a school cafeteria manager, I personally see that our 40 year old cafe at Hilo High needs a lot of improvement. I'm surprised that the State can't use the fact that most school facilities are Hurricane shelters to get federal funds too.

I think a lot of buildings in Hilo need improvement. When I walk by the Kress Building the smell of rotting wood wreaks.

I know...it's such a sweet deal to be able to take my whole family to the movies for under $10. And these are pretty current run movies to boot!
